This cute little pane is the perfect implement for some up close and personal impact play. It's short enough to comfortably flick with your wrist for some rapid-fire strokes or swing with more oomph for a weightier whack.

The handle is made fom purpleheart with lots of brass dots added to one side for no reason other than they look good and therefore make the user at least 25% cooler in the eyes of their peers. [Citation Needed]

Panes are made from a single large piece of rattan which is then shaved down to create a flat blade surface. The impact sensation they produce is somewhere between a paddle and a cane, hence the name. They don't have quite the intensity of a traditional cane, nor the thud of a wooden paddle. Panes have some flex in the blade shaft which varies with blade thickness. This flex helps convey the feeling of a cane to both the caner and canee.

Miss Emm came up with the flat cane concept way back in 2011 after being asked whether it was possible to create a cane that didn't feel as intense as a cane!

This handcrafted pane was created by Miss Emm in her workshop in Sydney's inner west, where the finest wooden kink toys come to life.
