A mid-sized pane with a big handle. If you've got big hands you you'll handle it with ease. Those with smaller hands may find the handle of this pane a little large and challenging to handle. 

The shaft is made from rattan and the handle has been handcrafted from Australian rosewood with a brass handle hole and details. The pane is finished in satin polyurethane varnish for an attractive and smooth surface and ease of cleaning.

Panes are made from a single large piece of rattan which is then cut down to create a flat blade surface. The impact sensation they produce is somewhere between a paddle and a cane, hence the name. They don't have quite the intensity of a traditional cane, nor the thud of a wooden paddle. The flat blade shaft has some flex which helps convey the feeling of a cane to both the caner and canee.

Miss Emm came up with the flat cane concept way back in 2011 after being asked whether it was possible to create a cane that didn't feel as intense as a cane!

This handcrafted pane was created by Miss Emm in her workshop in Sydney's inner west, where the finest wooden kink toys come to life.
