At just over half a metre long and 12mm in diameter this is a nice firm cane. It's also short enough to make a good travel cane! The purpleheart handle has a gloss polyurethane varnish finish, as does the shaft. The handle hole and dot on the top of the handle are aluminium.

Purpleheart is a naturally purple timber found in Central and South America. The name purpleheart is used for 23 different species, all of which produce the unmistakable beauty of purple timber.
