This two-foot long cane has a thick shaft for a firm impact without the sting or cutting sensation of a thinner cane. It also has a pointy handle end which is perfect for a little sensation play. 

The handle hole and dot are brass.

Camphor laurel originates from China but is now endemic to Australia's east coast. It is frequently used to make furniture here in Australia, and live edge slab tables in particular. You'll also see many camphor laurel chopping boards locally too. The wood gives off an incredibly strong camphor aroma when being cut, planed, or sanded, and it makes my workshop smell like a pot pourri shop whenever I work with it. :) Once sealed with varnish the aroma is lost.
