Huon Pine with three contrasting lines of Purpleheart running through the paddle, Huon Flow is a sensual combination of flowing curves. One face of the blade has a very rounded edge; the other a sharp edge to provide a little extra contrast between sides. The lightness and beautifully smooth texture of Huon Pine gives this paddle a gentle feel. It will provide a light stingy sensation rather than a thuddy feeling.

Huon pine comes from Tasmania like many of Australia's finest timbers. Purpleheart grows in Central and South America. Purpleheart is actually a generic name given to 23 species of tree in the peltogyne genus which share the distinct purple colour giving rise to the name.

As is the case with every one of Miss Emm's creations this paddle was handcrafted by Miss Emm here in her Sydney workshop.
